Goddess: A Celebration of Colour, Texture, and Creative Freedom

Goddess is a mixed-media painting that represents a turning point in my ongoing exploration of form, colour, and process. Created with tissue papers, fabrics, and acrylic on canvas, and measuring 60 by 48 inches, this work reflects my constant desire to push my artistic boundaries. As an artist, I am always guided by curiosity—a quiet but persistent pull to experiment, to take risks, and to move beyond what feels familiar. That curiosity shapes not only my studio practice, but also how I observe, interpret, and respond to the world around me.

In this painting, I intentionally challenged my usual visual language. Traditionally, I place dots, symbols, and patterns directly on abstract figures, while colour often occupies the background space. With Goddess, I reversed this approach. The background became a dense field of patterns, symbols, and rhythmic markings, while the figures took on bold, textured colours. This shift allowed me to experience my ideas from a new angle and to feel the emotional weight of colour in a more direct and physical way.

The outcome of this experiment has been deeply satisfying. The figures now command attention, pushing forward with confidence and presence. The colours feel more intense, more alive, and the textures give the forms a sense of depth and movement. The fabrics and tissue papers introduce softness and complexity, creating layers that invite the viewer to look closer and linger longer. Each material plays its role, contributing to a rich surface that feels both delicate and powerful.

At its core, Goddess represents an abstract embodiment of colour and beauty—a goddess of pure aesthetic energy. She is not defined by realism, but by emotion, rhythm, and creative spirit. This presence holds the essence of imagination itself: expressive, evolving, and free from limitation.

Through this work, I embrace the joy of experimentation and the beauty of discovery. Goddess is both a celebration and a promise—a celebration of how far exploration can take us, and a promise to continue pushing, questioning, and growing as an artist.
