These two paintings are another composition from the series titled The Perspective. They explore the complexity of perception through an abstract head form that contains two silhouetted faces within a single structure. Each face turns in a different direction, creating a powerful visual metaphor—two ways of seeing, two states of mind, existing within one head. This duality reflects the inner conversations we all carry, the constant dialogue between contrasting thoughts, emotions, and responses to life.
The head forms are richly adorned with symbols, motifs, patterns, and expressive colours. Rather than relying on realistic features, the paintings communicate through abstraction and visual rhythm. Colour plays a central role, shaping the emotional tone of each face and defining its presence. The motifs and symbols layered across the surface act as visual thoughts—fragments of memory, belief, and experience—woven together to form a unified yet complex identity.
Both paintings are created using lace fabrics and acrylic on canvas, each measuring 48 by 36 inches. The lace fabrics serve as a textured foundation, adding depth and subtle intricacy to the surface. This layered background enhances the interaction between colour and form, allowing the paintings to feel tactile and alive. Over this textured base, acrylic paint is applied freely and intuitively, allowing raw colours to dominate and guide the composition. Texture, pattern, and colour merge to create a surface that invites both visual and emotional engagement.

At the core of these works is the idea that life can be experienced from many different perspectives. Every individual carries unique views shaped by personal history, environment, culture, and emotion. Even within a single person, perspectives can shift—hope and doubt, optimism and fear, clarity and confusion can coexist. The two faces within one head symbolize this internal duality and the choices we constantly make about how we see the world.
My own perspective is rooted in vibrancy and colour. I am naturally drawn to brightness, energy, and expressive palettes, and these qualities are deeply embedded in my work. For me, colour represents life, movement, and possibility. These paintings reflect that vision, offering a reminder that perspective is not fixed. By choosing how we look at situations, we shape the reality we live in.
The Perspective invites viewers to pause and reflect on their own ways of seeing. It encourages an awareness of inner dialogue and a recognition that even opposing views can exist harmoniously within us, shaping who we are and how we experience life.
