When Creation Calls: Living a Life That Demands Art

Art has never been a hobby for me — it is part of who I am. It lives beneath the surface of my thoughts, shaping how I see the world and how I respond to it. Even on days when I’m far from the studio, art is still present, quietly unfolding in my mind. It is not something I switch on and off; it is a constant rhythm, a language I am always speaking, whether through my hands or within my imagination.

Over time, I’ve invested so much of myself into this journey — my time, my energy, my resources, and my patience. Growing as an artist is not just about mastering techniques; it’s about understanding yourself more deeply. Every piece I create becomes a reflection of that ongoing discovery. Creating is not optional for me — it is essential. It feels as necessary as breathing, as grounding as coming home.

There is a certain restlessness that takes over me when I’m not creating. It’s a quiet discomfort, like something within me is waiting to be released. But the moment I begin, everything shifts. There is pride in seeing a piece come to life — watching an idea move from a fleeting thought into something tangible, something that exists beyond me.

Of course, the process is not always smooth. There are moments of frustration, when what I imagine refuses to translate exactly the way I see it in my mind. Those moments can be challenging, even discouraging. But I’ve come to realize that this tension is part of the journey. It pushes me, stretches me, and forces me to grow beyond my comfort.

All these emotions — the restlessness, the pride, the frustration — move through me constantly. Rather than holding me back, they have become a source of motivation. They propel me forward, urging me to keep creating, to keep exploring, to keep bringing beauty into existence.

Sometimes I pause and ask myself a simple question: if I’m not making art, what would I be doing? And every time, the answer feels empty. Because for me, art is not just something I do — it is the very essence of how I exist in the world.
